Is The Colgate 360 Toothbrush Worth The Price?
63A wise dentist once said to me, that you can relate toothbrushes to cars. The cheap ones will just be able to get the job done, but the more expensive ones are the ones that can do the job also, but done more extravagantly and better. I decided to take this quote and look at a new tooth brush to buy – instantly the Colgate 360 toothbrush stuck out in my mind when I first saw it.
So, I’ve recently been trying out the Colgate 360 toothbrush. And with me sometimes being a cheapskate that I am, I don’t like spending more than a pound or to for just a toothbrush. But this one stood out for some reasons that I’ll explain in due course.
One of these things that the Colgate 360 toothbrush had was that it actually had an in-built tongue cleaner. At first this did seem like a large gimmick to bring in the average consumer to buy it as it was something “innovative” (don’t mean to cause offence here). But the reason why they included it was because their lab experts and doctors had concluded that the build up of bacteria on our tongues is one of the main sources of why a person has bad breath.
So I decide to give it a go. The Colgate 360 toothbrush tongue cleaner doesn’t necessarily pleasant. When I’ve “finally cleaned my tongue” it didn’t feel as if I was actually getting off something, all it felt like was that Velcro was sticking onto my tongue.
But maybe this was due to the fact that I hadn’t necessarily followed the instructions on how to use it effectively on the Colgate website. To the letter. It says that I should only brush my tongue for 10 seconds before stopping. For many seconds of this short time period it felt like I wanted to stuff the Colgate 360 toothbrush down the loo as it felt so unusual.
If I wanted to clean my tongue in the past, I would collect a spoon unfortunately, and then scrape it down the tongue which I had read in a magazine once. It actually works though, because when I look at it afterwards, I could see all the dirty muck that was on my tongue that had not thankfully been cleaned off. But the Colgate 360 toothbrush didn’t really do this for me.
On the whole, the premium toothbrush made by Colgate will do the simple jobs quite well. The extra features that they have included in the product like the tongue cleaner I think are unnecessary, as there are better products that can do these jobs on the market. So I do think that on the whole, even though I have talked very negatively about the Colgate 360 toothbrush, it is still a good toothbrush to do the basic functions.

Why would one buy extra products for cleaning a tongue, if you can have it in one toothbrush, no extra products required. Stupid review (no offence), no one cares. Bye!
